1. congress is waiting for a decision about gun laws to be decided by the white house and president trump. according to president trump, all of the mass shooting that have occurred in the past few years have to do with people's mental health and he blames the mental health system rather than lack of  background checks on people purchasing guns.

2. red flag laws that allow guns to be taken away from people who pose harm to themselves or others

3. i think there should be stricter rules on gun ownership because many people who own guns are not in the right position to own a gun and can cause harm to others or themselves. i think people should have a special id in order to purchase guns and if you misuse a gun, you get your id and guns taken away for a certain amount of time.

4. i sometimes worry about gun violence impacting my life because of all of the school shootings that have occurred in the past fews years and how easy it is for someone to get into a school with a gun.

5. i think that it should be a national decision on how gun laws are decided, because it affects the nation as a whole if one state allows gun use more heavily than others.
